I own two Rattler gen 1 19256 and 25 384. I just purchased a 19256 V2,hunted the last three nights with it, great scope ,a step up from the Gen 1 audio is a bonus for video recording. the zoom feature was my only drawback my gen ones picture-in-picture mode zooms so does main screen on the new V2 picture in picture mode the PIP is the only thing that zooms the main screen does not, to zoom main screen you must turn off the PIP

Great scope, I own 2gen 1 rattlers 1 19-256 & 1 25-384. The v2 19 is great, audio bonus, zoom feature not so much for me. Gen 1 pip and main screen zoomed together, V2 doesn't. PIP zooms main doesn't. Turn off PIP for main screen to zoom. I do like the quick change PIP feature.hunted 3 nights so far and that's the only drawback for me.

Everything is better than the V1 models accept the zooming in... it now has a zooming in effect that takes time whereas before it would just snap to the next magnification. which saves time... having a zooming in animation might seem pleasing to some people... but not to me... it waste time.

Love it, upgraded from the v1. Every new feature made it worth upgrading. Only complaint is the base mag compared to the v1. Got used to the lower base mag and definitely miss it.
Also the plastic section that houses the buttons seems to stick up a little. Like the adhesive is failing. Can be pushed down. Hopefully not an issue later on

This night vision device is actually really impressive. In my opinion the NL 1 I received has nearly 0 blemishes in the unit. I received As Furthermore, it comes with a rhino one style mount and a J Arm That works quite well with this unit works extremely good and low light conditions and the provided mount and J Arm Lineup correctly with my eyes without having to adjust very much So yes, I am very pleased. Customer service is very good as well All in all, it’s a great little unit that Provides a excellent Gen2+ Experience it does not weigh much just I would say probably a couple of ounces more than a PV 14 but when using the CR 123 battery, it cuts the weight down significantly and The great thing is, you could mount it on any sort of standard USGI Shroud whether it be a bump helmet or a ballistic helmet I give this NVG unit a 9.5 out of 10

I own 4 thermal and 1 night vision rugs. This little scope has gone on all my hunts since I got it. It’s not the best image I own but it is way beyond good enough. What it has over my other scopes is battery life, ease of use and shot activated recording. I used it mostly in open pastures so the high base magnification is perfect.

I own 3 thermal of higher resolution but with a fresh tax return in my bank I decided a cheaper dual purpose scope was what I needed. Not expecting much I was happily surprised. Got the scope on Friday and put it on a 556 just to take to my lease/gun range to test it out. Land owner came by and asked if I wanted to go kill a pig. The scope performed better than expected on the range in late afternoon at 65 degrees but was a rock star when the sun went down. It’s not on par with my 640 but for hand held scanning and ID to 500 yards it is incredible.
I scanned with it, spotted hogs, clipped it back to my gun and got a kill at about 100 yards. Perfect….and only 18 hours into ownership.

BLUF: Uses its own parts that aren't MIL-SPEC, you cant buy parts here or elsewhere.
It works well for the price but beware that it uses a special J arm that is not sold by AGM at the moment. It cannot take the PVS 14 J arm that you can find here or elsewhere online as the nub that assists with lockup is inverted to the military style pvs 14. The thread pitch on the knob is different too. If you have or plan to have military rhino mounts and J arms they will NOT work with this. This comes with its own Proprietary mount and J arm, but AGM does not sell them elsewhere as a replacement. It does do what it says and works pretty well minus the fact that I have to turn the helmet right slightly to see through the tube properly.

Purchased this the same time I got a Rattler v2 as it's the best method for varmint and critter hunting. This monocular is great for spotting game hundreds of yards away. The digital zoom is great, maybe consider going with a higher base magnification depending on the areas you'll be hunting. I've used this indoors too to look at radiant flooring, where air/heat might be escaping or entering in the house and other odd uses. But in terms of hunting and being in the outdoors this device is leaps and bounds above using a red light for varmints. You can't go wrong with using this monocular out in the field. Sure, it's not as crystal clear as others that AGM makes but is more than capable of getting the job done. Now, pair it with one of AGM's great thermal scopes and you have yourself a lethal combo that mr. coyote or mr. fox won't be able to compete with.

I learned about AGM products while at the SCI Convention in Nashville. Based on my needs and my experience with thermal scopes, which was zero, Kenzie’s Optics recommended this one.I live in the northeast and have been able to spot game up to 350 yds. away. Identifying game hasn't been an issue either. The shots I've made so far have been 150 yards and under. If you put in the time to zero it, you too will have success. The zeroing process is a little different for a newbie like me and there can be challenges based on environmental conditions but, I'm sure you can do it! The owner’s manual is your friend. The recording and ability to transfer the videos over to your phone is great for recapping the excitement that was previously had. The case, 2 batteries, mount and the other goodies included in the box are all great quality too. After mounting and some use, everything is still sturdy. This is a quality scope that has proven results.

The monocular debuted shootshow 2023 and was the best without and contenders. It has at least in the top two of any thermal imager sold today not including the $17,000 varieties of which there is only 1. The sidewinder with the 640 chip at sub 2mk is a technological master piece. I have about 2 thermal imagers from the Armasight ZEUR 2x16 820x612 5 to $50,000 PTZ vehicle mounted unit and this sidewinder bears them all for image quality

02/20/2024 I wish I could post photos with this review. Used this Rattler as a hand held unit for almost two months. Finally got to mount it on my 10/22 and the entire battery department fell out. This is a sealed unit with rubber gaskets. Turns out, they forgot some screws... all six of them. That means the internals were open to moisture intrusion since this left the factory months prior. Call CS and an actual person answered the phone. Told him the situation and he quickly sent me a RMA# request. Plus later I was able to send CS the photos of the battery compartment hanging by its tiny wires. The scope no longer turned on. Returned to the TX office and about 8 days later I had a brand new one that included the missing screws. Fingers crossed.

The AGM Taipan TM19-384 thermal monocular was an excellent purchase. I realized that I couldn't effectively scan for game with the AGM thermal rifle scope I purchased attached to my rifle, not without flagging everything in the local area while scanning for game. Therefore, I purchased the Taipan monocular. What a great little device - power efficient, remarkably sensitive, very clear display, easy to use, and allows me to search without having my rifle up. During the daytime, while not hunting, I spotted a doe in brush with the thermal that I couldn't see with the naked eye. What a game changer!

From the first call to AGM to the extremely high quality and performance of my StingIR, I am blown away. AJ Garza, sales rep was professional, helpful and followed through on every promise. Shipping was fast and economical.
The case: Wow. Highest quality in every way. Quality of case, included mounts, batteries, documentation, foam, all highest quality. Having not to buy additional battery caps or cords was refreshing.
The StingIR 640: Light (like holing a pool ball) fast, extremely high resolution, highest quality. Everything AGM promises in their product descriptions are exceeded.
The detail of the image gives an impressive real-world feel. I watched every video I could find, many dozens with reviews, NONE of them do justice to the quality of the image.
Worth every penny.

I bought a TS35-640 rattler and the core failed the first hunt I took it on which was very disappointing since my hunt/ trip was pretty much ruined but I wanted to provide a review on the customer service since it was better than I could ever expect. Always a person ready to help on the phone and I got a new unit in my hands within 3 days of filling out the RMA form. I feel very confident buying expensive gear from AGM and they have a customer for life.

Performance per dollar is great here. I use it for coyote hunting out to 200 yards. The menu is intuitive, the display resolution is crisp once adjusted properly, and the sensor picks up anything you point it at in great detail. I was a bit apprehensive about the polymer construction, but once I got my hands on it I learned it's some kind of fiberglass composite, super light and durable. All of the included accessories are great, especially the weapon mount.

I've had 3 thermals in my brief history of thermals. I have two AGM Rattlers a 25-256 and this the 35-640. First, I'd like to say AGM has some wonderful Quality. The build of both Rattlers is perfect. Second, I have to say that the image quality is just as good as any other comparable Thermal on the market. Third, the mount that AGM includes in the Rattlers is amazing, zero is always dead on every time I take the scope off the rail... Finally, I will talk about the 640... This thing is amazing, eye-popping detail, detection and identification are effortless. It's the exact same package as all of the other Rattlers!

I have never owned an optic of this caliber! This thing is sweet! The imagery is amazing! The night and day in one optic is awesome! Very well built! The quality of the build is great and very sturdy! What you get for your money is an insane imagery in a day and night optic that is well worth the buy!
