Awesome thermal picture

Have been playing around with my Rattler for a few days now and can say that the picture through this sight is awesome. As for as sharpness, not quite as crisp as my 640 resolution scope, but that is to be expected as it is a 384 resolution bolometer. But for 384 resolution it is outstanding. The picture is very clear and the contrast excellent. The picture just "pops". Whites are bright and blacks are dark. I'm finding myself becoming more and more fond of the fusion palette in this scope. Most other scopes I've viewed through using Fusion were not that impressive as the orange tended to overpower everything else and didn't give much contrast with the purple but the Rattler picture has distinct separation between the edges of things and the orange and purple are well contrasted so it is actually useable as a color palette. I am very pleased with the scope and its performance.

I have worked on VOx materials and thermal imagers in the past during my career, and always waited for the day when I could have one of these myself. I bought this unit since it seemed (and is) well-engineered. I was immediately impressed with all aspects of the unit. It's IP67 and 750 g/msec shock rated, making it waterproof and shock proof, which means it will withstand rigors of hard use. I am impressed with the quality of the 288 x 384 image and the reticle. No regrets whatsoever buying this sight, and I look forward to using it!
