The NEW VarmintV2 LRF’s are the latest product family to get a heavily anticipated face lift due to AGM’s steadfast commitment to continuous improvement. The New Varmints stay true to their roots by continuing to utilize many of the popular features that were incorporated into the original Varmint LRF riflescopes, like a fully integrated laser range finder, a compact and lightweight housing and 18650 removable rechargeable battery power. However, the VarmintV2 family does get some serious upgrades as well, including, but not limited to: an incredible new sub-20mK 12 micron thermal sensor, an on-board ballistic calculator, a new user interface, more customizable image settings and recoil activated video with sound. Offered in both 384 and 640 resolution options the base magnification options on the four models in this family range anywhere from 2x to 4.5x, which captures the entire range of hog and predator hunting scenarios. Users will surely be impressed by what the new sub-20mK thermal sensor can do when paired with a crisp high resolution OLED display. Of course, external power is always an option through the USB Type C power port, and the AGM Connect app compatibility make pulling your images and videos off quick and easy as ever. Also, every unit continues to ship with an American-made ADM mount, which makes removing and re-mounting to multiple rifles as seamless as ever. FIRMWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTION
Please read the instructions below before updating the firmware.
Check current firmware version of your device, for this go to your device’s main menu to option “Info” or “Version” and check what number you have. Compare the number with the latest version of the firmware on the AGM website.
Download the firmware update package to your PC and unzip it.
NOTE: Do not open the DAV or BIN file on your computer as it may corrupt the file.
WARNING:
If your device does not have a built-in rechargeable battery and is powered by replaceable Lithium batteries, remove the batteries from the battery compartment before connecting the device to your PC, or it may cause computer damage.
If you removed the batteries, please make sure the device is connected to the computer during the update process. Otherwise, the device will shut off and may cause unnecessary upgrade failure, firmware damage, etc.
Please check the latest firmware. Click the FW Version to download the firmware update package.

2. Prerecord time optimization. (Increased from 7s to 10s, default 10s)
3. Watermark logo optimization (Enabled by default)
4. Laser ranging optimization.
The default will change from 15S continuous ranging to Once ranging.
5. Supports operating menus while recording a video.
6. Add the "Sharpness" controls to the small sub-menu that contains "Brightness",
"Contrast", "PIP". (Only Supported by models with sub-menu)
8. PIP magnification display optimization (small screen of PIP will show
magnification in the lower left corner, and will disappear after 3s)
9. Pop-up window logic optimization. Now It shows OK first.
10. Burn Prevention is on by default.
11. Time-date order optimization. Date comes first, and time comes second.
12. Add Reticle mode. The default is Fixed Reticle. (RattlerV2, VarmintV2, Secutor)
