The Foundation
2019
Founded in 2019 by industry veterans Gary Tarakanov and Mark Tarakanov, AGM Global Vision was established with a clear mission: to become the leading manufacturer of thermal, night vision, and digital optics in the United States.
The Tarakanovs bring decades of proven experience building multi-million-dollar companies in the electro-optics industry and creating highly recognized brands in the optics market. This expertise has fueled AGM's rapid growth into one of the most trusted and respected names in thermal imaging and night vision technology.
The Network That Built a Brand
2020
Growth doesn't happen in isolation. In 2020, AGM formalized its first major distribution partnerships with Sports South, Bill Hicks & Co., NationsBest Sports, and Academy — opening the doors to dealers and retailers across the country who believed in what AGM was building. Those early relationships were the foundation of a dealer network that has since grown to over 500 retail locations nationwide. Every partner along the way — from those first agreements to every dealer and distributor who carries AGM products today — has played a role in getting AGM products into the hands of the hunters, professionals, and enthusiasts who rely on them.
The Rattler and Adder Series
2021 - 2022
The Rattler series is in a category of its own. Launched in 2021, its combination of compact form, professional-grade thermal performance, and accessible price point was unlike anything the market had seen. For hunters and sportsmen who had long been priced out of quality thermal optics, the Rattler was a turning point. Demand surged, AGM's dealer network grew exponentially, and the Rattler name became one of the most recognized in consumer thermal optics — the spark that ignited AGM's rise to a nationally recognized brand.
In 2022, AGM answered the call again. By popular demand, the Adder series introduced a full-featured thermal scope in the traditional 30mm tube housing that bolt-action and non-modernized platform shooters had always preferred. Where the Rattler excelled in compactness, the Adder delivered additional mounting flexibility, expanded features, and a housing style that felt at home on any rifle. Like its predecessor, the Adder quickly became a household name — further accelerating AGM's dealer network and solidifying the brand across every segment of the consumer thermal market.
A Brand in Full Stride
2023 - 2024
With a nationally recognized brand and a rapidly growing dealer network behind it, AGM shifted into an accelerated phase of product development. In 2023, the Sidewinder series raised the bar for premium handheld thermal observation, expanding AGM's reach well beyond the rifle scope market. Then came AGM's largest SHOT Show in company history in January 2024 — where the Rattler V2, Clarion dual-FOV, and Secutor LRF all debuted to significant industry attention. The momentum didn't stop there. Throughout 2024, AGM launched the Taipan V2, ReachIR, Varmint V2 LRF, ObservIR thermal binoculars, and the Spectrum LRF 4K digital day/night scope — completing one of the most productive product years in the company's history and cementing AGM's position as one of the most complete electro-optical brands in the country.

2025 - Today
AGM entered 2025 at full speed. SHOT Show 2025 brought another wave of innovation — the Ultralight Night Vision Goggles (UNVGs), the full Adder V2 thermal scope lineup, the Evolver 1280, and the announcement of the Rattler V3. AGM also formalized its commitment to the defense and military community by joining the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), deepening relationships with law enforcement, military professionals, and procurement specialists across the country. Internationally, AGM continued expanding its global footprint — exhibiting at defense and hunting expos across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, with products now available in over 100 countries. Today, AGM Global Vision stands as one of the most recognized and trusted names in thermal imaging, night vision, and digital optics — with a product lineup that spans every segment of the market, a dealer network 300+ locations strong, and a team of over 70 dedicated professionals. The mission set in 2019 hasn't changed. The scale of it has.
