The AGM Rattler TC35-384 is a compact thermal imaging clip-on system that allows quick transformation of the day optics into thermal imaging device without any special tools or equipment.

The Rattler clip-on is a perfect addition to any hunter's arsenal. Equipped with a 35mm germanium lens and a 384x288 resolution high-sensitivity thermal sensor, this unit has a detection range of 1235 yards. Rattler TC provides a clear image under harsh environmental conditions like darkness, fog, smoke, dust, rain, snow, wood, camouflage, etc. The product is mainly applied to scenarios such as patrolling, hunting, overwatch, etc. The Rattler TC can easily be attached in front of day scopes with magnification up to 8x for medium range use.

This unit also comes packed with all the features that many Rattler users have come to expect, which include: built-in recording and picture capture capabilities, Wi-Fi hotspot, AGM Connect app compatibility for storing and sharing images and videos, 16 GB on-board storage, 4.5 hours of battery life on two CR123 batteries, external power capability through the unit’s USB-C plug and a high-quality American Defense Manufacturing quick detach mount.

FIRMWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTION

Please read the instructions below before updating the firmware.

Check current firmware version of your device, for this go to your device’s main menu to option “Info” or “Version” and check what number you have. Compare the number with the latest version of the firmware on the AGM website.

Download the firmware update package to your PC and unzip it.

NOTE: Do not open the DAV or BIN file on your computer as it may corrupt the file.

Connect the thermal device to your PC with USB cable.
Turn on the thermal device.
Disable the Wi-Fi Hotspot function in the device menu if WiFi is enabled.
Open the detected disk (USB drive) in file manager program. Copy the unzipped .dav file and paste it to the root directory of the device.
Turn off the device.
Turn on the device. After a while, the firmware update process will start automatically. During the update, the screen will display the inscription "Upgrading ...". The update process will be completed when the inscription "Upgrading ..." goes out. Repeat steps 4-6 for each updating file.
Turn off the device and disconnect it from your PC.

WARNING:
If your device does not have a built-in rechargeable battery and is powered by replaceable Lithium batteries, remove the batteries from the battery compartment before connecting the device to your PC, or it may cause computer damage.

If you removed the batteries, please make sure the device is connected to the computer during the update process. Otherwise, the device will shut off and may cause unnecessary upgrade failure, firmware damage, etc.

To begin the procedure for updating the firmware of your equipment, you must confirm that you are familiar with and agree to the "AGM GLOBAL VISION" Export Policy («AGM GLOBAL VISION» Export Policy). By continuing the process of updating your device, you are confirming that you received this device legally and in compliance with all applicable US export laws and that you are not on the Banned Persons List and/or are not affiliated with any of the Banned Persons as defined by the US Government.
If these conditions are met, please check the box on the left and follow the instructions for updating the hardware firmware.

This by far is the most accurate and affordable thermal vision clip-on.
It is most effective for spotting and hunting as well as a perfect hand-held unit.
The support is spot-on and extremely helpful.
It is equal to buying three scopes with a wide variety of useful tools.
Excellent and affordable for individual LE purchase.

I recently purchased the Rattler TC-35 and I am quite pleased with the unit. In the clip on mode, it took a bit to get it zeroed in with the M-4, I had to move the target VERY close, as in 20 yards or so to get the POI/POA lined up with the host optic. Once I had that Zeroed in, The same profile was dead on with the 10/22. I did have to make adjustments for the 6.8. When making adjustments between platforms, record the X & Y factors displayed, adjust, and it will return to Zero with exact repeatability each time. I can switch between platforms, re-configure the scope from clip on mode to rail mount mode adding the eye piece, set a profile with the reticle, then, re-configure the sight back to clip on mode and each profile stays dead nuts on. Clarity is great using a host optic but, clarity starts to decline at around 4X. not that big of an issue though. I would say precision shots can be made out to about 200 meters.

The device is not bad. But, it would be better if I bought a night vision scope. It's not a device problem, it's my problem. Now I am saving up money for https://www.agmglobalvision.com/night-vision/night-vision-weapon-sights/agm-wolverine-4-nl3.
